Sprouts: Dec 1-3 (Core)

Our focus this week was creating our signage for our sale products. To do so, the class got to engage in discussion around how much each product should cost and why. We discussed product cost/materials, profit, and fair pricing. The students calculated how much profit would be earned at each price point and decided if that felt good to them. Once prices were agreed upon, each Sprout got to make a sign for our display, during our Project Period.

This time was also used to continue to expand on financial literacy in a variety of ways.

With our feast and Spirit Week approaching quickly, we made space as a school to discuss preferred foods and will vote on those options next week. Students also chose their ‘Secret Santa’ and the Sprouts worked on their gifts this week.

In the in between, some Christmas themed activities came out, such as bingo and tic tac toe. Lola opened an Optometrist Office and took patients through out the week, getting creative with her tools. 😆

We had lots of fun in the snow, learned about spiritual strength as our teaching this week, and decorated a favourite classroom book cover that had fallen off.

It will be Oakley’s turn for Mystery Bag next week.

*Reminder: Share the Magic Day is this coming Wednesday, December 10th! 11-2 ✨
