Sprouts: Apr 13-15 (Core)

This week Jessica and Corbin hosted Eva and Addi for a trial week in the Seedling & Sapling pod. We got back into our Chakra lessons, as Jessica introduced the students to their sacral energy. This energy supports our ability to create and be creative.

Most students completed their Mythical Creatures this week, along with their posters for their presentations. The class got to learn about each other’s creatures through each presentation and we placed photos on our map of Canada to show where each creature lives.

During our project period students also explored a puzzle of Canada and created a flag for our wall. Our teaching of ‘Wisdom’ was introduced this week and the Sprouts got to be introduced to our wild acorn who represents the spirit of “listening to our own heart”.

The wonderful weather this week allowed us a beautiful Tuesday Trek where we noticed many signs of Spring including buds, sprouts and a patch of tasty violets. Connor continues to challenge himself to climb higher in the trees each week. He reminds himself that he is brave!
