Friday

We started our feasty last day for most students in morning circle, story and followed up with making our fruit kebobs. Our focus was patterns with the four fruits we had: cantaloupe, blueberries, grapes and strawberries.
We went through a visualization process to identify what we needed for our picnic and everyone helped pack up the wagon.

Then we enjoyed our hike over to the park to play so we could get hot before the splash pad as it was a windy day 🔥. A few friends forgot their gear and had a blast in spite of that. We enjoyed one time swinging on the swings after the splash pad too.
When we returned everyone decided that nap time was necessary before parents came for pick up.
Friday

Gordie and I started our last day together with 3 rounds of Outfoxed. Gordie is a super sleuth!
After our morning circle time (where Gordie pulled the Bear card foe the second time in a row) we read The Hungry Caterpillar, Gordie's favourite story.

We made our plan for the day, which involved playing at the park, visiting the splash pad and enjoying nature while we walked. Hazel (my middle child joined us for the hike to the park and splash pad, and Gordie totally chose Hazel over me for holding hands to cross the street and playing together lol. I was replaced by my mini me!
Back at school, Gordie chose to play nap time like the group did yesterday (there was no actual napping!) Then we tidied up and headed out to the backyard for the rest of the day to play.
It has been a marvelous time with our last days of the dedicated outdoor program and I look forward to seeing many of the same faces and more in September ❤
Make the best summer!!
XO Jessica
