Thursday
Today we learned some new ways to move energy in and out of our bodies and practiced all of it. Our animal cards spoke to us in our sit spots and everyone shared what they noticed.
After circle we read "Just A Worm" and learned about the things that worms and some other animal friends can do. We also learned about seeds.
After our story we prepared for a LONG morning hike to look for seeds of all sorts, led by Corbin. Corbin shared what he found on the Sapling hike this week: Burs, Wild Grapes, Jewelweed, Prickly Pear, Acorns, Buckthorn Berries, Burdock, Plantain, Teasel, Coltsfoot and Rose Hips. Many of our plant friends were remembered today.

After lunch we made necklaces with our names on them for the medicine bags I made for them all. We attached the strings after beading the necklaces and put some special magic heart medicine in the bags to lay near our hearts and keep us well.
We enjoyed an early sharing board and cleaned up, then spent the rest of our day playing with the walkey talkeys at the park.
Friday
Friday started outside with our morning practices and more dancing to raise our energy. Our animal cards gave great messages today as we listened and took the messages into our heart. During our morning snack we read two stories, "We Are Growing" and "Trudy's Healing Stone". We discussed how plants grow differently and so for we. Students began utilizing a short obstacle course then we headed inside for beading and lunch.
We made medicine bags today and strung them on our beautiful necklaces beaded with our names on them. Beading took longer than anticipated and we got to work through what we do when we are bored from a task.
On our hike we walked in familiar spaces, said hello to the ducks, played on the climbers and the swings, then returned for home time.
