Sprouts: Dec 8-10 (Core)

This week students chose roles for Share the Magic Day as our Sprout Store employees. We discussed the duties of each role and the kids got to rotate through the jobs they enjoyed, today. We also prepared by going over our business plan and completing a business checklist to ensure we were ready for our sale day. On Tuesday, we began the set up process and finished it this morning. Students organized products and hung signs. We also made space this morning for some extra breath work to prepare our bodies for a full day of energy exchanges.

The Sprouts continue to work on their secret Santa gifts, as well as some other special gifts that they will be giving this season. I can’t say much more, but they are very excited to create and share these items!

On our Tuesday Trek we spent some time foraging evergreen branches for a project. We also went to our tree climbing area and enjoyed playing in the snow.

During our Project Period, students engaged in continued learning around financial literacy as well as our new teaching of ‘Good Child Rearing’ and some extended number sense. Jude is working on creating his first story and is in the phase of story mapping.

It will be Lola’s turn for mystery bag on Monday.

Next week is also our Christmas Spirit Week! Students are welcomed to wear holiday themed attire all week - or whatever else they choose! We will share an announcement with more details by the end of the week.
