This week was bittersweet! 💞
We enjoyed our Games Day on Monday by playing Sorry, Jenga, Uno, and Bingo. Students also practiced their acts for their talent show on Wednesday. At recess, Connor spotted a Mama raccoon with her babies in the neighbour’s yard! It was very exciting. We discussed how the raccoon brings the message of adapting to change, and making use of the skills we have (resourcefulness and problem solving). Very fitting! ✨
On Tuesday the students completed their Memory Books by getting their friend’s signatures. I gave the students a special gift to end out the year: a personalized gemstone bracelet. Each bracelet was made with gemstones that support the light inside of each student. It was a pleasure to create them.
We made space to continue Talent Show practice as well as do some food prep for our feast. We spent the afternoon at the splash pad where we also had a picnic lunch.
Today was a day full of joy and gratitude! We were grateful to have Jessica and Corbin join us to prepare the feast and enjoy it all together; for one last time. Everyone loved their meal and enjoyed the company even more.
Oakley, Leroy, Lola and Connor preformed at the Talent Show: showcasing dancing and magic tricks. Jude was the coordinator; introducing acts. It was quite the treat!
We ended the day with some freezies, outdoor time and a drum out for myself, Corbin and Jude.
It’s been an absolute pleasure to be a teacher at TSOP and to guide your magical children. I have learned so much from each of them, which I am truly grateful for. I wish you all a wonderful summer and smooth transition into the evolution of The School of Purpose. 🙏🏼❤️✨
