This week was a short week for us.
Monday we stepped into our new routine of badge work studies by reviewing badges, getting back into the swing of our full morning checklists.
We read a really great story this week about becoming ourselves, listening, understanding and trusting our inner knowing.
Our morning activities included our typical cursive practice, movement, calendar, novel reading, writing response and we began our gratitude journal sheets. Our sewing project for January is making mittens! We will be learning how then donating the mittens to support adults who are unhomed in the local area.
After recess, we learned about about our school badges and the criteria to earn them throughout the rest of the school year. Afterward, we began our studies by utilizing our intuition to pull an animal card. We read our messages and discussed what they meant for us.
We enjoyed free time playing UNO and chatting until it was time for classroom chores and home time.
Tuesday we were not at school.
Wednesday we attempted the day and didn't make it much past 11am.
Looking forward to next week!
