Sprouts: May 11-13 (Core)

Jessica introduced the Third Eye chakra this week, allowing students to drop deeper into their intuitive selves and encouraging them to believe that they are capable of more than they make think.

Within our Project Period this week the Sprouts began STM day creation as well as exploration of coins, counting money, long and short vowel sounds, and alphabetical order. Expanding on our learning from last week, our read alouds touched on the different parts of plants, how they work and what they need. Students finished up their plant diagrams in their portfolios.

I met with each student on Tuesday to go over our badge tracker. They each tallied how many badges they’ve completed and set a goal to complete by the end of the month. Some are satisfied with the amount of badges they’ve earned at this point and that’s wonderful too.

Tuesday trek took us over to one of the favourite creek spots as well as the spruce forest. Students climbed, built and observed the changes that we continue to see through the Spring season. We ensure that personal tic checks are done each time we come out of the forest.

Today Mila completed her Food Magic badge by creating pineapple slushies for everyone! It was a delicious end to a full week. Great job Mila! 👏🏼

There will be no mystery bag next week as we are closed for Victoria Day. See you on Tuesday!
